Hi all, my first post in these parts so pease be gentle.
We're having issues with our multimedia display, the screen is blank most of the timr,even a hard rest of holding down the power buton for 30 seconds or so won't get it working.
My question is if i pick up a used display only , can i just remove the old one and the new one should work when connected up or does it need to be coded?

I have had it with a main dealer here in Ireland but they cannot tell if it needs to be coded or not but will replace it for €1,000 + labour

I have a used screen sourced from a breakers yard & he tells me it should just be plug & play & it's only the head radio unit thats needs to be coded.

Its a 2016 Kadjar I have & the display unit number is 280342118R
