I went down the V7 route and yes my head unit was bricked, but this was a year and a half ago. They have sorted the upgrade now and surpassed to V8.
I’ve had no problems entering the on board menu but it’s advisable to use a stylus, I think the touch software has been tightened up a little.
I haven’t been able to activate the active reversing lines so left that, the camera view is wider which I prefer now.
Siri works well just talking to the phone it takes over the Rlink2 just via Bluetooth, I have my phone in a Qi dock in eye line as I use Waze in the Kadjar and my works vehicle.
Active speed volume won’t come on either.
The platform seems more stable, not that I had problems before, slightly quicker to respond.
Would I chose the same route?
In hindsight probably not, I would try the V3 route, purely for the benefits of the things I’ve activated in the debug menu system, I do believe the V7 is a scenic derivative so it may be a thing of trying this in Ddt4all. The benifits of the mapping, and last but an important aspect, the Bose doesn’t pack the same punch, volume wise for me, although I’ve not tried but there are settings in ddt4all that could be twiddled.

My V7 was done at the dealer unfortunately, so I don’t have the image.

I hope someone has it (7.0.24.161) because I didn't find this release.
I found 7.0.24.160 but my system say that is older what I have so don not upgrade.

The last digit is corresponding to the model (Kadjar, Megan, etc) and the size of the display. It appears you're with the same version.

I don't understand exactly what you mean.
My firmware version on the R-link 2 is 7.0.24.161.
And my problem is that my touch screen almost freeze after couple of min.(physical button working just the screen not response the touches)
I just wanted to reinstall the same firmware. Maybe it will help.

Or have anyone other suggestion why freeze the touch screen?

I read may it help when I remove the R-Link2 fuses about 10mins.
My question is which fuses belong to R-link 2 and after this should I give any code for R-link 2?(because I didn't find any code in my documents)
