I'm considering updating maps via rlink store but when I display it on the website I get a message 'Please note: the total storage capacity on your R-Link system is not great enough to download the latest available map.'
It doesn't give me any option to buy or update. Any ideas what to do with this?

Also, are the rlink recent maps actually any good? I see the latest one is from 04/05/19 but in my car I see 9.12.80.689874 from Feb 13 2017 and file mappackage_tt_feu - 2014_12.

You could either go to a dealer to sort this out, or check the thread for customizing the map storage and adding and deleting maps of your own choice.
It's called "Latest Maps" and is located in "RLink".

Thanks. Will look into the thread you mentioned. I also had a chat with the rlink easy connect customer service. The girl said that I should not get this type of message in the rlink store as there is no way for it to know how much space I have in the car's rlink2 system. At the same time she heard about similar issue in the past but it will have to go to the upper level technical team. I got an email from them so have to reply with some more details and screenshots. If I get it fixed I will provide an update just in case someone will face similar problem in the future.

I've just installed a map update 2018.06 in my car with no problems. I presume that this is the latest update.
I now see that there is an update to R-Link 3.3.16.980.
Has anyone installed this, and if so, has it caused any problems?
I recall that the last R-Link update wiped out my saved destinations in my Sat Nav.

Yes, it will erase your Nav favourites. It solves minor bugs. What I've noticed is, it shows the album art not only for the first song of a playlist, but also for the rest and things like that.
Most of us, I believe, are with this update from couple of months.
