We've been a 1.2 petrol Kadjar owner now for over 2 years, and wanted to downsize again. We'd recommend the Kadjar if you want a vehicle that has enough space for adults in the back and that's fast enough to join Motorways. Ours had zero problems in the 28 months we owned it and we'd never added any oil from the pack that was supplied with the car. We bought the Kadjar as it was smaller than our previous Zafira Tourer, but even after 2 years it feels almost as big? Great for motorways or A-Roads, but too much for town centres and narrow country lanes? Maybe old-age prevented us from adapting quickly! Anyway, we now have the new model Nissan Juke. From the off it feels smaller, so we are happy about that. It's only been available since November 2019, so I hope we don't get blighted with early-adopters problems! Some members of the forum have not been too complimentary about Nissan, but we will wait and see. One of the nice features of this forum is that people don't really come on here to slag-off people who don't agree with them! Is this the right time to buy a new car in the UK? No! Only because it's never the right time to buy a new car! They will cost you money every day you own them, even if you go nowhere! (Road Tax, insurance, depreciation) My guess is new-car-prices will rise after Brexit is complete in ~12 months time, but that's all it is, a guess.... Anyway, good luck to all Kadjar owners, it's a Nice Car....

Thanks, we considered the New Captur but they are not even in the showrooms yet? Our local dealer said he would email us when they had one. Plus we'd sat in the current version - the effect of the (distant?) windscreen felt a bit like "Tunnel Vision" to us? A bit like the first style Vauxhall Meriva we used to own. Maybe it's because we are tall & have the seats quite a way back? The New version may be different of course. These days we only buy a car if there's a dealership on our doorstep, so our choice is limited to: Ford, Hyundai, Nissan, Renault, Peugeot. The Ford Puma is looking good, but they haven't got an auto-box version yet. The Hyundai Kona is just a bit neat in the back seats? We chose not to buy a Peugeot 3008 when we got the Kadjar, as neither of us particularly liked the style; the new 2008 is a smaller version of that. I come from an age when we used to check Points and Spark-Plug gap regularly, and adjust the carburettor with a screwdriver, whilst peering into the cylinder with a Colortune plug. So all of today's cars are wonderful! Truly, we could have had any of those listed, and it would have done the job of getting us about town and collecting the grandchildren from school. First time with an auto box for us, so we never stop learning...
