Hi Team, any more thoughts on tyre choices? I have the Continental Contact 5s in 225/45R 19 inch which are worn after 13,000 miles, I bought the car at 11,500 miles, not me that's ripped them out!

My main interest is ability to soak up potholes as I live in Surrey and we are one of the worst counties for potholes. As I have found to my cost the 19 inch wheels are very poor at riding bumps. I only drive about 7,000 miles per year, mostly local so petrol usage and noise levels are very secondary.

My continentals wore too quickly also. Because I think tyres are the most important part of a car for me I have replaced all 4 with Michelin Pilot sport 4, not the newer design as the rating is not as good. Dear but much better than Continental. Bought them at a good price on the net for 586 for 4 delivered free. So far so good would buy again
