I have a 67 plate 1.5dci S Nav and have noticed that the coolant temperature gauge on the left hand side of the dashboard display goes up in increments of 2 rather than individually. Therefore it goes up 2 then 4. 4 being half way. The local Renault garage I bought the car from have advised that this is normal. Does everyone else’s temperate gauge act the same way?

Don't worry, this is indeed normal. They all do it.
