we over here do things the hard way, we have managed to mix imperial and metric together to create what i call Impetric 

for example we buy fuel in liters but work out our consumption in miles per gallon !

at the diy shop we buy 2mt of 6x4 for example 

see the confusion? this is why brexit is so complicated, if you tell a british bloke, whippet, flat cap his car does 6.8 /100km he would go mad, say it does over 40mpg ,,,,,happy man 

Shedder, you forgot to mention Fahrenheit/Celcius (or is it Centigrade?) and pounds/grammes.
I still don't have a clue how heavy 200 grammes is/are.

all good examples of Impetric  and its Fahalcius  (read,,,, it-to-bloody-hot   or phuck its cold)

6,8 lit/100km is like 42 miles per gallon. 

that's good for a petrol engine 
my diesel is only achieving that around town and its pumping out all the crap ,,,,, no more diesel for me
