Hi

I used to be able to cycle through radio stations or jump to next track on Spotify using when 'wheel' on the steering wheel controls. But now:

Radio cycle is temperamental not working more often than working

Spotify - instead of going to next track it takes the current track back to beginning!

Any ideas please? Both are so annoying

Try reboot the system with long press the On/Off button for something like 10 seconds. It actually sounds like a dirty potentiometer, which could be fixed with spraying contact spray if you could reach it.

Thanks for the response. I should have added I tried the system reset with no improvement.

Where is the potentiometer?

The wheel you're turning for next/previous should be potentiometer I guess, or something with touching metal plates when turning, which could be dirty or corroded.

So I had a proper play with this today whilst stopped.

Radio switching stations is fine; must have been a momentary glitch.

Spotify - what it's actually doing is advancing the song by 15 seconds so my initial diagnosis was wrong. It used to work fine and advance the song to next track. This is new behaviour.

Any ideas?

Hmmm. That is quite strange. Maybe some settings in Spotify or Android Auto / CarPlay.
