Thanks to everyone who has been patient with me over the last two weeks. I have managed to get to grips with R-Link to set everything up. Just one more question if I may?

I have chosen the anbient lighting as blue and this is the colour of the screen and also it shows blue beneath the screen in front of the shift lever but mine car is an automatic and I notice - even with headlights on - the P N R D does not light up like my last car (although it does of course on the speedo hib)

Is it supposed to light up next to the gear shift and also does the ambient lighting show anywherre else as I can only see it arping the screen and ventilation control knobs?

The gear selector actually does light up, unfortunately it’s a tiny bulb with a cover on the just glows, you may be able to see the glow if you put your eye right in it.

The only ambient lighting on a phase 2 is under the dash as you say, at the front of the centre console. The dash dash clocks and screen correspond to the colour. Most of the rest of the control switches are back lit in white, steering wheel door switches heater.

Thanks so much for this - I understand now. It was just that in a previous car I had the ambient ltg was everywhere!
No problems because I really like the Kadjar.

How have you managed to light up the little compartment in front of the gearstick please?

I just set up the ambient lighting to blue (any colour you wish) and therefore the screen is blue all the time and automatically the little compartment underneath in front of the gear shift shows blue! Hold your hand under it and you will see. Maybe blue shows more than any other colour!

Mine is set to blue but that little compartment has never lit up.
