Worked fine yesterday but today neither remote operates the central locking, using the buttons on the remote, changed the batteries a couple of months ago and changed again today but still does not work.
I have tried every door and tailgate using the buttons on the doors, nothing happens.
I can open the driver's door using the key in the remote but unable to open any other door from inside the car.
Alarm obviously sounds when the door is opened but don't know any way to shut it off without closing the door.
Unable to start the car.
Rlink system comes on as usual when entering the car.
Anyone got any ideas?

Sounds quite like a software glitch. Why not try to disconnect battery for a while. Or it it might be battery suddenly died.

There is no indication there is a fault with the battery, might explore options at the weekend and I am also going to speak to the dealer tomorrow.

Once you are in the car using the emergency key, put the keycard in the slot, start the car, stop the car, get out and try the central locking again. If it works, you might have to do the same with the second fob.

I don't know if it works with a Kadjar, but I have read that it works with other makes. Remote key fobs have a rolling code for security (I use the word with tongue in cheek!). If the fob and the car get out of sync, then the remote stops working. I believe that the procedure above will resync the fob.

The Kadjar doesn't have a slot. My previous Captur did though.

Good point, well presented.
I was thinking of my Scenic!
Where do you hold it in a Kadjar, close to the Start button?
Found this in Renault's e-guide.

The message “Place card close START and push” appears on the instrument panel.
Place the RENAULT card (logo side) in contact with the start button for around 2 seconds. Press the button to start the vehicle.

As I said it might not work anyway, but worth trying.
