Yes I see you figured it on your own

All the files (both the iGO update file and the map update archives) need to be extracted and each contains a R-LINK folder. This way even if you extract them on to a brand new or recently formatted USB drive, you will still end up with a R-LINK folder on the drive, and that folder contains the update files.

Just one more clarification... Do you need all the three files in each archive, or only the .SKU files on their own...

Everything that is in the ZIP you put on the USB drive. For the maps that are 3 files - the sku file (actual maps), the md5 for that (so R-Link can verify its integrity), and the .lyc file that is supposed to be the license for the maps.

So... while waiting in the car... If I need to revert the system to the previous state, I need to install the Downgrade file and if I want the previous Maps, if I make it through the Toolbox tool, would it install the original last map?

I believe you can install the original maps without "downgrading" - just put them on the usb stick (or have Toolbox do it for you) and install them, they'll overwrite the HERE maps back to the TomTom.

I guess, when updating the maps, the RLink gathers the info from both files and than placing them in the memory? I should not make another attempt to update, right?
