Hi all,

Just registered as I've recently bought a 2015 Renault Kadjar 1.5 dCi 110 Dynamique S Nav and I'm really happy with it in the main.

My question is I'm a little unhappy with the ride over uneven roads with the ride being very rough sometimes. I have the 19in alloys fitted with the 225/45R 19 INCH CONTINENTAL.

The dealer did mention I could look at swapping out for the Kadjar 17in but I'm not a big fan of the look.

Could I get a more comfortable ride with just different tyres on my existing 19in alloys?

Really don't know what way to jump but on UK roads I have to do something.

Any help greatly appreciated, many thanks.

Hi all,

Could I get a more comfortable ride with just different tyres on my existing 19in alloys?

.

You could do this, but, it will cause errors with the speedometer and mileage,

Wheels and tyres are set to a rolling radius.

As the dealer says, swapping to 18's or 17s is the route to go. Plenty of aftermarket options if you don't like the Renault/Nissan offerings in those sizes.

Thanks all. Its annoying having just got the car to now have to consider changing the wheels, oh well, lesson learned.

hi kadjartour99, you could buy a set of 16 alloy wheels of your choice, five stud of course. but you must put
( 215x65 r16 ) tyres on them, to match your current 19 inch wheels, rolling radius...

On continent it is not allowed (no homologation) for 16 inch wheels except on base model with petrol engine. Must be something related with weight index of tyres...
