Thanks boyko, ill give it another go .
Right so the main dealer put in my reg and it came up 10/ 30 or 10/40 ...cant remember which but it was deffo 10/? definitely! so somethings awry somewhere. What makes me wonder is whats in it now and why?

Im guessing 10/? would be thicker and potentially mask a problem? :unsure:

I just googles to be sure of the meaning the numbers and a quick search found this

The short answer: The numbers represent the viscosity of the oil and the W stands for WINTER. ... In a 5W-30 for example, the number before the W describes the viscosity of the oil at low temperatures. The lower the number, the thinner the oil and the better the oil's cold temperature/ cold start performance.

I truly wonder if the original dealer altered the details on the computer for my car for some reason?

I am truly enjoying my car and have no real complaints and i dont want to be a worry wart, but makes you think doesn't it

now renault will put castrol oil . in Greece stil use elf oils
in UK what is hapening?
