Your best bet would be to purchase a tailgate loom from a breaker on ebay that had an original camera. Alternatively Renault will supply the wiring. But it would mean then using a patch loom to connect into the tailgate 16 pin connector.

Hi.
Do you know if all Kadjars have pre-fitted loom for reverse camera?
My Kadjar is 2016 (Bose edition) and I am planning to buy genuine camera from breaker. Don't know what is the loom in the back tailgate.
The Kadjar is German version, not UK.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Hi, there are 2 multiplugs in the tailgate, under the main tailgate plastic panel. On the 16pin connector, there are four wires in the male side that are not reflected in the female red yellow red black. These are the wires for the camera circuit. However, on models 2016 these might only have continuity to the head unit if your model is fitted with factory parking sensors. There is a missing link in the wiring on models without and you need to go direct to the head unit on the 32 pin connector. Hope this helps

Hello,
thanks for the fast reply- appreciated.

Yes, my model is equipped with factory parking sensors (Intelligent parking system- ITPK4-Front plus rear sensors).
When I am switching gear to R, then I have 360o sensors view.
If I am driving forward and approaching closer the front vehicle, I have also signal from front parking sensors.

My idea was to buy a genuine rear camera, to retrofit it, but in any case, to avoid any wiring from trunk to head unit (v. 2.2.x.xxx)

I will try to make some pictures in the weekend in order to double check with you.

Kind regards.

Just coming here to say thanks for everyone, I read all the comments, bought a camera for 2.79 pounds on aliexpress and it worked perfectly!
I personally have fat fingers, so it was tough to enter on developer mode with the 12 clicks, end up learning how to make a homemade touch pen using a ear cotton buds, aluminiu foil a bit of wather...
Really happy for installing this camera, idea was to get the cheapest possible at 6 volts, and checking this one I really do not need to upgrade.
thanks everyone
