Kadjar was in dealers today for firmware update from v2 to V7, Rang dealers at 5pm only to be told they have bricked the unit, Where do I stand? Renault authorised the firmware update due to dab issues after them replacing the epc under warranty but warranty ran out end of July any help appreciated

What was the full version number of your V2?
What was the DAB fault?
My attitude is that if they did not give you any warnings of possibility of bricking the unit during the update, they broke they fix it.

It’s very rare to have a bricked head unit now, as they have agreed to do it and there’s nothing saying it’s at your risk. Especially as it’s an ongoing know problem and you’ve had the first part of the work done, I would suggest it’s down to Renault and the dealer. I would be questioning how experienced they are at V7 upgrades and have they used the right update file.

Well supposedly the technician who tried and failed to do the update has 15 years experience and was conveniently off sick today and the dealers are being very withholding regarding what they used to update so its now with Renault to sort this mess out
