hi if I just want the uk map which I believe is in part 1 can I just use part 1 or do I have to put part 2 on also.
I checked the storage on mu r-link 2 unit and it says 845mb free I don't know if the new map just overwrites the existing map or does it do a fresh install???

It's in part 2. You need only part 2 for that (and the file for the license). All the maps are renamed in order to replace the existing files.
