Hi, i tried looking through the 50 odd pages on this topic
I've downloaded the entire 5gb rlink file and the SkuHelper_zz, wlsdecrypt and the mm2014_upgrade_igo_3.3.16.960_gz files.
In the past month I've updated my 2016 kadjar to enable android auto but cannot manage the map update as i cant find clear instructions anywhere
my software is now 3.3.16.961
boot release is 4992
nav info is 9.12.133.696450
Does anyone have a guide to updating my map? I only need UK and Ireland.
Thanks

Edit . this is what I've just tried
I first installed the mm2014upgrade file onto my usb stick and it seemed to work fine. it told me it was updating.
next I installed the entire 6gb file (see jpeg )onto the usb stick and installed it.
it installed ok and updated, took about 30 mins
when i went into settings to see what version of map I had It still said map info 9.12.133.696450.
Any ideas?

9.12.13 is the version of the navigation software.

Check this video where you can find map versions:

I think it's big enough. Browse through the map to check.

I've just spent an extremely frustrating afternoon updating my maps to 2018_06. I was bored last night so went onto RLink2 website and was surprised to see that I had two updates waiting (the Euro maps 2018_06 plus one for App Store). I therefore immediately went onto RL Toolbox and started downloading (maps were 5.8 Gig which took an age). Finally after god knows how long they downloaded without a hitch. I waited til today after lunch to instal and after inserting my USB in the car was informed that it would take approx 35 minutes and not to turn off RLink. All well and good. Well the Validating took 25 minutes alone, followed by Checksum and finally copying files. The whole process took nearly 1 hour and 20 minutes and all this time I had the engine running and couldn't leave the car, go for a pee or whatever. I know some of you update whilst driving but how far will I drive in 1 hour 20 minutes? I've noticed before, that every time I've updated it has took a long time and I struggle to know why. My laptop is a MacBook Pro and my USB stick is formatted in MS-DOS (FAT 32) on it. Also I know that my car battery is only about 70 per cent charged (I haven't had Stop/Start for about a year). Whether or not this has anything to do with it I don't know, probably not. I honestly find the whole update procedure a bit of a ball ache and believe me when I come to replacing my car one of the first priorities will be to find out how updates are done. It will be a deal breaker for me, why can't it be done 'over air' without having to spend a fortune on a premium car (Tesla anyone?). Anyway, rant over, was really wondering if anyone had the same experience and if they knew why. Thanks.

You don't have to be with running engine. Just leave the door open and play with the volume from time to time. Though it really took to long for you. I do it in 30-40 minutes.
