The tool is extremely easy to use. What I did was to delete the content I don't need (for example - Iceland, Azerbaijan, Kazahstan, also deleted SpeedCam and POI, cause as already mentioned - the one from TomTom are better), and just showed the route to the folder. Than click 1-2-3-4 and that's all. Just to remind you - it's possible to delete the previous maps and place the new with the names downloaded or to rename the maps to the standard names and just replace them.

Just to confirm this. Yesterday built my own map package (even before seen this how-to), today installed it on to my R-Link device. Works like a charm.
Can share my build (no Iceland, Russia, Azerbajdan&simmilar countries, Cyprus) or complete package.
2016 White 1.6 dCi 4WD BOSE with Premium Techno Pack, Winter Pack, Panoramic glass roof & autodipp mirror and retractable towbar.
Added ambient illumination, few chrome trims,
Replaced R-Link2 V2.2 SW version 9. 0.34.611, enabled Android Auto and CarPlay (change USB slots)

Do you have latest POI/speedcam from TomTom?
