I have had no problems with this new version 7.0.24.161. My car is 2016 and the original version was 2.2.15.703. Everything is working as supposed to.

Yesterday my R-Link was updated from 2.2.15.703 to v7 at the workshop. Now I offically have Android Auto in 2016 car :)

Hi Ballantine, my replacement Rlink is also on V7, but when my android phone was plugged in, no AA function appears? was there something you have done or set to activate? Or do I need to activate through engineering mode? or any specific cable requires? thanks

Some people managed to have the update with no problem, but yesterday Renault pulled it back, due to the many bricked devices. Lets hope, it will be soon available again in a fixed version.
I suppose, you have not forgotten to download the Android Auto app on the phone from PlayStore?

Yes I have AA app on my phone. Maybe I need to change a few other cables to try.

Well, that's strange. It's only a Plug and Play thing. When plug in the cable in the phone, automatically the new AA button appears low in the middle of the screen. Actually, I saw another question like that in the Bulgarian forum, but with no reasonable replies.

If it doesn't appear, you need to activate it in Developer Mode or DDT4ALL. And good quality cable is also necessary. All cables don't have data lines and they are only for charging. There are also cables with all lines connected but so bad quality that they don't connect. I had to try few cables to get Android Auto to work. With bad cables only "connect", "disconnect", "connect", "disconnect", loop or charging only.
