Hi guys,

I've returned from the dealership today and they have updated me to version 7 of the firmware. I see that people may get android auto however is it the case that CarPlay is NOT an option on this?

I get both as I have the new Kadjar. However, if you're a mk1 then the USB socket isn't fast or powerful enough for Carplay.

I guess you have a mk1 car which means the car play won't as 5he USB sockets don't have enough power, as a matter of curiosity, why was your uplink upgraded to V7?

There's a firmware update, but some of the first been through it had their RLinks bricked. There were also some successful attempts, but as far as I understood, the AndroidAuto was not added. Some say, after the upgrade it can be easily unlocked in Developer Mode. Afterwards the update was pulled back from Renault, and it should be released soon again with fixed issues.
As read somewhere, the new policy of Renault is to minimize the number if different version as the goal is all the vehicle to use the same one. V7 is said to be this version.
