May I ask a quick Rlink 2 hardware question as you guys seem to be the subject matter.
My 2016 Kadjar with the 1st tranche of RLink hardware recently went into Renault for a few bits including the firmware update.
All along I have been hoping for AA or CP but knowing that USB is an issue.

When applying the firmware the dealers have bricked the unit and therefore have had to order a new one from France.
This has taken a considerable time and is apparently arriving next week.

Does this unit come with the correct type of USB to enable car play or is the USB a separate unit?

If it is a separate unit is it a case of sourcing that and installing it along side the new RLink unit.

The replacement RLink system seems to be a bit of a lottery as to whether you get a like for like or a more up to date unit, I would suggest don't hold your breath and if you get what you want, great. Any idea what version they were trying to upgrade you to and what version you already had?

The part was on order from Renault’s RLink suppliers so with that in mind it may be a new unit?
Either way I get what I’m given.

Is the screen / unit a separate unit to the USB bus ?

The firmware was to original 2 series, I’ve heard on FB that dealers have been applying v7 and bricking certain units which is what happened with mine.
