I don't like these rules. In my opinion, they only disappoint, frustrate and scare away the people. If someone uses the download and is happy with it, it's a better chance to have a new user, following the forum, being part of the community.
If I browse the web, searching for something and come upon this forum, straight after I find out, I can't download what I'm searching, it's a "never again" for this site. But... if I do download it, there's high chance to browse through the topics, while waiting, or come back with questions. The fact he/she made the effort of registering is enough, I think.

Whilst I'm not wholly in agreement, I have revised restrictions and we will see. https://www.renaultkadjarforum.com/articles/11-news/site-news/89-download-policy.html

Well, It's a matter of points of view. I wrote the above having been in similar situation. I follow the german Kadjar forum , and as I can't write a single sensible sentence in german, I haven't got a single post in it, but have reposted their topics multiple times in this forum and others.
It's a matter of discussion until reaching a balance :)
Sorry for the off-topic in this thread...

Let’s clarify... there is nothing wrong with downgrade file itself. Downgrade works, tested. But has same limitations as upgrade; it is unofficial and as-it.

Depends what you want. If you have only got version 2.2.19.300 and want Android Auto, then you really have no option but to do the unofficial update to 3.3.16.961. As far as I know, Version 7 doesn't give you any added functions, I mean Android Auto. I took the plunge virtually as soon as it became available to members of this forum and had a lot of help from some very clever guys like AOne, Boyko and Robertp. I am now a very happy bunny, AA works great. I'm not bothered about it being unofficial and as far as I am concerned, it only adds to the car's value. I recently had my second service and no one mentioned which system I was running. They aren't bothered.
