Hi Folks,

My R-link is running 2.2.18.803.

I plan to upgrade to 3.3 later this afternoon, but just wanted to check beforehand- am I best going straight from mine to 3.3? I thought I seen a post somewhere that advised going through all the 2.2 updates/ fixes first before jumping to 3.3!

Yes, I would recommend go to 2.2.19.300 first and then go to 3.3. Not sure if it is necessary but it wont hurt and you will get use to the process.
Also take a picture of al values on ddt4 screens before upgrade to know which values you have now.
Mainly those about back camera. I had a hard time recovering the right settings.

I've now updated to 3.3 but having real trouble completing the second part- have a feeling I'm having a complete brain fade and missing a step.

I've no idea what's bring referred to in the DiagRW step. Can anyone clarify?

I've then tried to enter the developer mode via the 'debug' USB (inc watching all the videos for timing if presses) and had no joy at all. Help!

Not sure about DiagRW step you mention.
To enter the debug mode mi suggestion is take attention to the place you press not only timing. In my case much more success when pressing juts in the corner (where two lines cross).

It's the first step after you upload the R-Link. It says:

1. Activation of mirror link:
Select DiagRW -> GEN2_0 - put SPVR from restricted to permitted -> press Save (in top of page) -> press Load (in top of page) - go back to first page with back button.
For steps 2-4, you can follow this video.

Can anyone explain what this step is? I'm starting to think it's pretty critical as I'm dementing myself tapping on this screen lol!

This video has noting to do with Mirror or Android auto.
