You're wrong. I think Kadjar is far from perfect, and believe me, I'm quite objective person. I take both the good and bad things, but when talking about something concrete and specific, we must make our point, not to talk in general.
My only suggestion was, when commenting on RLink, to mention which version we're talking about. How come all this came afterwards - no idea...

PS: Point me what's bothering the people, using unit V3. I'm aware with both the V3 and V2 versions, cause my close friend is with the older unit and is constantly asking me questions and advices about it. In fact, I'm the one supporting his unit, basically, cause he's not interested in the tech stuff and I find it interesting dealing with the tech.

The automatic transmissions, if that's considered, are completely different between the two vehicles.
The QQ has a Japanese Jatco CVT, and the Kadjar has a German Getrag dual clutch transmission, similar to what's in e.g. a Ford Kuga.
...

The automatic dual cluch transmission in the Kadjar suffers from a delay from start, especially at quick stop-and-go driving.
I have not driven the QQ, but a Subaru with a similar Jacto CVT, and it has no delay whatsoever when the accelerator is pressed.
The unknown quality (for me at least) of the present Jatco, and the high repair cost of a CVT might be an issue, but again, Renault are beginning to use Jacto CVTs in new models too.

Trouble is like most car buyers I simply don't know what you are talking about, do they need to suss which software system actually works before they buy a car? Should software issue be a consideration for any car buyer?
.

You have stated why you like the car and said just now "it isn't perfect", you omitted whatever you feel is wrong with the car before, just leaving an opinion of 10/10. that's my issue

Ok, so here is what I don't like about the car:
- I hate, that i have to press a button to unlock the door. The Scenic I had before had a sensor behind the handle and the car unlocked only by putting my fingers in. And there are no buttons on the rear doors. Why?!?
- The most irritating thing is the windows switches. Induction button only for the driver window (Damn, the 2000's are long gone). Besides, not all the buttons are illuminated.
- The paint is a disaster. My whole car is in white chips from the stones in the winter. Even the side rear doors. My front window is also about to be replaced by the insurance, cause it also has small pits from the gravel. The thing is all new cars are made with this eco-friendly paint...
- My gear lever leather cushion has cracks in it and is going to be replaces for second time (in an year).
- The interior is very "plastic". Like a cheap chinese good. The two long, shining plastic details on the side of the console got scratched in a matter of few weeks with absolutely no obvious reason. Both of them.
- The auto-wiper function is a disaster. It has its own logic. No comparison with the flawless Scenic wipers.
- The radio works better outside of town, but worse in it, compared to the previous cars I had.

This is what I can recall so far. If anything else comes to mind, I'll extend the list.

The topic started as QQ vs Kadjar comparison, and most of things, that I hate come inherited from the QQ, or are the same in it, so that's why I didn't mention them so far.
I believe you still don't get my point. The people reading this topic might want to buy either used Kadjar or a new one, and that's why we must state which version are we talking about, cause there IS a difference. From this thread, they will understand, there is a difference and YES - in 2018 the software is one of the most important things in a car. It's responsible for all the electronics in the car, including safety features, lane departure, active brake assistant, sign recognition, auto headlight dimming, navigation, air-con and so on and so on....

this debate has been fascinating to read and in this i am unanimous on the fence.

i have updated the firmware on the car to V3 only thing noticed is selected sound files on a move stopped working and saying the QQ is the same as a Kadjar well they share a chassis and some parts but thats it.

Aone has some very valid points and has made them very clear, so has other members but i think that is it for this topic.

This is a Kadjar forum so to be fair we should now discuss the Kadjar vs ????????  but please don't, as all the cars out there have good things and bad. lets stick to the Kad and let people decide.

At least, I think this thread is a good start  for a pros and cons things about the Kadjar. It might be even renamed and everyone could add their points on the list. Why not made like a table :) And why not with a separate columns for the pre- and post May 2017 cars. Here comes the place for the pre May'17 owners to add their lines (no lock away locking, no folding mirrors, no Android Auto/Apple Car Play, problem with the upper front window sealing, troubles with Rlink, problems with auto transmissions and hill start and so on)
