- Check, that the USB is formated in FAT32;
- Check the proper location of the file;
- Check the file itself;
- Use another USB stick;

With me it happened from the first attempt, but it was more than an year ago...

I'm going to try another USB and see how that goes.

I've went back and reread all the threads this morning- do we need an OBT connection to do this? Or is that an alternative way I could get AA if I cant force developer mode?

Developer Mode is something like hidden menu of the system.
The other (alternative) way, which is much more complex is using the OBD and ddt4all. Through it you can adjust all the possible settings in the "car's brain".

Theres one point that I think could be an issue. On point 3 I don't see anything that says usb scanning- just a very quick message that says 'no audio files found on disk' or something similar?

Generally how long does it take for the USB to scan?

That message, I think it is not the issue. I think this message is for the case if the scan lasts longer then few seconds. My flash was full of differnt file (bootable windows, drivers ets, music). Also it may depend on the software version, car model, country, language etc. The only important is to wait unlil all messages gone.

What can be the issue?
For some reason the system does'n recognize that DbgEnable.lge file.
It might be not correct FAT32, try checking the disk for errors, check disk properties, try formatting it again.
Also there may be wrong naming or path. I beleive you did check it but... there must be DEBUG folder right in the root, not in R-LINK folder. Inside this folder must be file DBGENABLE.LGE, not the folder. Also I would recommend to delete all other files in this folder and delete all updates from R-LINK folder
If those don't help, send us your screenshorts: the disk properties, the root folder and the DEBUG folder. Finally make the video you trying to use it in your car, from the moment you turn ignition on (actualy I am not sure if one must turn ignition on, maybe it is enough to turn on the R-Link).

Thanks Guys for the offer of help with this. There's a couple of things that I'm concerned I might not be getting (if neither of these I'll post the screenshots and video tomorrow).

1. I'm still missing one entire step of the process:

Select DiagRW -> GEN2_0 - put SPVR from restricted to permitted -> press Save (in top of page) -> press Load (in top of page) - go back to first page with back button.

I keep coming back to the fact that I'm missing this step in what seems like a very set process. Perhaps it's not important?

2. Folder permissions: I'm as sure as I can possibly be that the format is FAT32 and that the correct folders/ files are included. I do wonder if some of my permissions in this folder could be an issue. Is there anything strange that needs to be included here?

Thanks again!

Chris
